eep up to date with the latest goings-on.

2/03/2007: What a blast last Wednesday night at the Buffalo Club with Tripping West. The band was rockin' big time!

Read the review at Project Opus to get a glimpse of how the night went! Gotta say, it was about as exciting as the first time Dale, Harry, Bif and I did our first show all those years ago!

1/23/2007: Happy New Year! Long time no post! I've been swamped over here.... lots of studio work going on. I'll be playing a live gig on January 31st at the Buffalo Club in Vancouver with a great band Tripping West, come out and check them out if you can. I'm then booked into Hush Studios from February 25th till the end of the month with Santino Barile and Billy Mendoza. Also penciled in with Joe Kidd for some drum tracking and a video shoot, much better without the snow.

Hope all is well with everybody, ciao for now!

6/20/2006: So the Stanley Cup is making it's home in Carolina.... hmmmm... that sux! Anyway's, no hockey anymore so i can get some work done. Did a great gig with the Bicks at the Commodore a couple weeks back.. it rocked! Also played a show on a boat cruise where some lady decided she wanted the microphone and proceeded to try and wrestle it out of David Hays hands..... i was laughing so hard i could hardly keep playing... hahahaha. Got another Bicks gig this July booked, and another hairclub gig in August... i'm enjoying the summer chill..... just came back from chillin' on the sunshine coast and need to get me more of that R&R. Until then............ L8R!

5/15/2006: A few dates added this week... a couple on Granville Island... a Commodore show and one private gig. July will be chillin' take a little vacation time and hit the open road. Hope everyone is enjoying the great Vancouver weather... enjoy it while you can.... !!

3/14/2006: Spring is getting ready to be sprung. Gigs are coming in..... working hard, not much else going on. Added a couple dates to the live page. Waiting on about 4 more to confirm. Until then ...... L8R

2/18/2006: What up?!?! Life is good, working lots, keeping out of trouble! Studio...studio... studio, got to admit, i'm digging walking into sessions with a snare in one hand and a stick bag in the other! Peeps who know me know that i love my Tama and DW Drums.... but i had the pleasure of playing a new "Pearl Reference" kit in my last session... hmmm... may have to get me some. Amazing kit.... from a self proclaimed Pearl hater! But, Papa's pimpin' a new set of wheels and a big ass plasma first... hahahaha!

Trying to get my year sorted out already believe it or not..... Possibly off to Colorado this spring, Cali in June, Jolly ole' England and Africa this fall. Will cancel my spring trip if i get the part i went out for on the new Robin Williams movie starting filming shortly... we'll see!?!?

Can't seem to find the time to update this site, but got a bunch of new tracks and images to add when i got a couple hours. I see my hit counter has reached almost 30G's so someone is still checking in!!

No further talks about the Geddy solo rock album.... it was nice to be approached though!!!!!

Go Canuck's Go!!!

12/24/2005: Merry Christmas everybody!! Hope you all have a fun and safe holiday season!! Life is chill for me right now, spent the beginning of December in Costa Rica... wow!! I met so many awesome people down there! Went for a bit of a hike which didn't go over to well with my body... hahahahha... stood beside a volcano and looked into the crater... still smoking and steaming! Drank some kick-ass Costa Rican sugarcane booze called Cacique... Holy Crap that did us in!! A now -good Costa Rican friend Edgar, took us out all day and played tour guide for us..... he's also the one who introduced us to the sugarcane grog.... hahahahaha!!

Got back on December 13th, put lights on the house, put up the tree and went shopping... now time to chill!

Played a few gigs this month... i must confess, i'm getting a bit tired of it all. Battling all day with soundcheck and stuff, getting home at 3 AM for pretty much nothing! I think the New Year will bring some big changes for me.... i'm not happy playing little pubs and parties... it just not what i do!!

10/25/2005: Just finished a couple of shows with the Bickertons! Got a couple more gigs... but trying not to book too much, incase my pending trip to Costa Rica happens in December!

Saw the Canucks game on Saturday night against the Avalanche. The boys pulled out the win, even with the last minute stress factor. it was nice to see Brad May again, it takes some getting used to seeing him in an Avalanche uniform... but i was happy to see him get his first goal as an Av!! He sparked his new team to a late comeback that almost got the game for them.

Brad hooked Nic and I up with some sweet row 11 seats, and passes to go into the bowels of GM Place after the game to hang out! What a great guy he is ..... what the fuck was Nonis and Crawford thinking??

I added a couple pix of me and Nic and Brad to the gallery, as well as a pic of me and Paulie, and me and joonyer at the Roxy after the game.

09/18/2005: Gig and band schedules are starting to fill up again, Doing a little jamming this week with Lee Wayne, Dale Pleven and Ziggy... should be cool... see where it goes.

Will be doing the cops for Cancer fundraiser in West Van on october 6th with The Bickertons.

Got my fingers crossed for my bud Jacqui (an amazing actress, singer, painter ) who's show 'The 4400' is up for 3 Emmys tonight!!!!! Go get 'em Jac!!!!!!

08/18/2005: Well, summers almost over, keeping busy! Got a bunch of gigs in the works for the fall. Right now got a bit of time off so it's all good!! Spent Saturday in the sun near Deer lake, watching Brian Poulsen and Barb tie the knot!!!! It was a beautiful wedding, it was nice to see the ole' bugger getting hitched... Nic and I were honoured to be invited to share their day!!

Speaking of Poulsen, he was doing a little guitar teaching or something like that with none other than Mr. Satch Boogie himself 'Joe Satriani'... will get the details when i see him next week. The Poulsen/Steele project is gigging at The River Rock Casino most of next week and the weekend.... Dave Taylor isn't with them anymore, but i'm sure they're still cookin'!!!

07/05/2005: We keep on fighting, till the end...... The Bickertons took first prize in the annual battle of the bar bands at the Commodore last month! They'll be video and stuff on the new Bicks site coming soon www.bickertons.com. Friday July 8th, dont' miss the Bicks at the Backstage Lounge on Granville Island.

05/17/2005: Lots going on these day's... been gigging with Brian King in a little project called "The Bickerton's", just did a fundraiser show for the "Olympic Girls Gymnastic Team", lots of cocktails and cool venue!!

Got a couple shows coming up soon in West Vancouver and at "The Commodore", check the live page for dates.

Will also be going back into EA Sports to lay down some tracks for the new "SSX4" snowboarding game soon.

Until then.... L8R.

01/22/2005: Happy New Year..... it's cold... i want to go back to Cali... oh wait... there's mudslides there..... never mind... think i'll stay here!!

Gigging, recording.... staying alive... it's a beautiful day, don't let it get away!!

12/17/2004: Will be laying some drum tracks at Roper Recording with Santino Barrile on December 28th. Should be fun, good sounding material and studio!

12/16/2004: Finished 12 Bon Jovi drum tracks last night with Kenny Holliday.... they sound awesome!!

12/14/2004: Been working hard lately..... waiting for an X-mas break. Did enjoy a great night of hockey at the Brad May & Friends game a couple of nights ago ...... nice to get a bit of hockey back in my life. Awesome seats and lots of NHL stars....... Thanks for the tix Mayday!!!!!!

09/22/2004: Sept 16th and 17th at the mosquito creek went great, shitty sound but, saturday sounded much better than friday. The shows for Sept. 24th and 25th have been officially cancelled. But dates for the Arts Club on Granville Island will be added soon.

08/10/2004: BARCODE X "Fuel Injected Rock & Roll" - Live at the Barnone Yaletown, Wednesday August 25th. It's gonna be a fun night, Benson and Hedges will be sponsoring the evening and the SINCITY II Fashion show will be going on that night also!!! The lineup will be myself, Dave Taylor on the bass, Andy Lorimer on the keys, Brian King on the vocals, and Chris Doskoch from Joe's Garage on guitar!!

Hope to see ya'll there!!!!!!!

07/05/2004: Things are happening!! Barcode X looks like it's back in action...... will post the date very soon!

Also, had the pleasure of seeing Sarah McLachlan at GM Place on Friday afternoon. It was her full show dress rehearsal for her upcoming tour that starts this Monday in Seattle. Everything about the show was awesome.... big stage, great sound and huge towering video monitors behind and above the stage. It was just like the show everyone is gonna see around the world..... except that there was only about 150 of us there.....hahahaha. Any ways.... when she's back in Vancouver in Sept...... grab a ticket cause it's wicked, man can she sing like a bird...... and the drums sound killer!!!

06/18/2004: Things are shaking these days.... burning the candle at both ends!! Have spent the last 3 weeks working on the tv show "Andromeda".... After wardrobe and makeup, i hear i look like "Predator"..... sounds good to me!! Will be in the studio next week finishing up some tracks with RedCell. Only thing booked so far is August 13th, 14th with Hairclub 100. Will keep you posted on any Barcode X action. Had a booking for July..... but looks like Kingster is gonna be in Poland for the month so, don't know if that's gonna happen!!

05/17/2004: Things are looking busy again finally!! Back from Seattle...... what a gig with Sir Mixallot and Presidents of the United States of America, had a great time at the Showbox!!...... I think I'm still hungover :-(. Off to Vegas for the week tomorrow..... then back for a gig with Hair Club 100 at the rowing club in Stanley Park.... Lots of Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Simple Minds and The Clash. Should be lots of fun!!! Trying to squeeze a BarCode-X show in the summer before heading back out to L.A. in August for a week or two. Until then.......L8R!!

04/08/2004: A bit of news on ex-Prism / BarCode singer Darcy D. He is one of the judges on Canadian Idol, and is on his way up to Fort St. John for the preliminary judging this weekend!! I want to see your best "Simon" impersonation "D Squared"!!!

04/01/2004: Been dealing with the BarNone about some BarCode shows. The on again off again rock night and Sin City II party is now off again. Seems it's all about money......whatever! I've been getting a shit load of emails lately about when BarCode is gonna do some live rock and roll at the BarNone (the partiers must be thawed out and ready to rock...hahaha) ..... your guess is as good as mine. Just when I have things worked out with them for a great night.. some crap happens and I end up walking out even more confused. So .... nuff of that shit, if anyone really wants to see live rock at the barnone, I suggest you contact the barnone marketing/promotions dept. at janice@bar-none.ca and ask them where your rock and roll is. Hmmmmm...... April Fools Day.......Coincidence??

03/22/2004: Longtime no post!!! Not much new to talk about..... working on some shows. Have been dealing with BarNone about a Sin City 2 evening there soon. It's all in there hands at the moment ..... trying to work out dates and lingerie models and such..... Pain in the Ass!!

BTW, the new BarCode web address is www.barcode-x.com, same site for now! Until next time.....C'Ya

01/07/2004: Another year has come and gone..... time to get on with it and book some non-private BC shows so we can party with all our friends again. I think I've finally got all the Tequila out of my system now, time to top it back up!! Dave and I will be starting some jammin' with Kirsten Nash soon...... did someone say Italy?..... bring it on!!!!!!

12/10/2003: Check the credits for the tunes that were written and recorded by "CDT " on the new SSX3 snowboard game for XBOX, Playstation 2 and Nintendo Gamecube. The tunes were recorded last summer by Chiko, Dave Taylor and Tim Mckenzie at Electronic Arts.

12/02/2003: The Hot Jazz club on main street, is gonna be rocking on Sunday December 7th. Barcode will be doing a 3 set evening there. Unfortunately it's a private show, but good practice to keep up with some of the tunes.

10/10/2003: Things have been quiet since coming back from Cali...... BarCode played a wedding a couple of weeks back that was allot of fun!! We were joined by Brian King on vocals and Richard Sera on Keyboards..... it was a good time! After talking to the guys.... I've decided to remove myself from the BarCode duties....... guess it was a bit disheartening the way the last gig ended, and I didn't feel like being the captain of another slow painful death....hahahaha!! Brian Poulsen is taking over the gig getting and promotion duties, so, any news on BarCode will be put up here when I get it from Brian. With the extra duties off my shoulders, I have a lot more time to work on getting a guitar player for Miles To Midnight and getting back out there. It will also give me more time to work on the new cover project, which will be very much like BarCode..... "same thing...... only different" A collaboration between myself and Brian King....... It's gonna Rock huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also.....I'll be spending the latter part of next week laying down some more drum tracks with Redcell. Checkout the site and give the tunes a listen.

9/24/2003: Back from Los Angeles. Had a great time all over Hollywood, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Marina Del Rey and the Sunset Strip Nightlife. My gal and I spent a great evening with Forty Foot Echo drummer Rob and his wife Joyce, eating and drinking strawberry margaritas at a little Mexican restaurant on Ventura Blvd., one of many highlights from our trip.... thanx for the great time guys!

On the BarCode front....... Andy Lorimer and his wife Susie are the proud parents of a very cute 8.5 pound baby girl.
Elizabeth Marguerite Emily Lynn Lorimer, born September 19th, 2003.

9/03/2003: The David Steele gig is coming up this weekend at the Fairview..... will be playing Fri, Sat, Sun, then I'm off to "Holy Wood" to do some jammin', chillin' and clubin' for a while. Gonna end my trip hangin' out on the Pier in Santa Monica singing Sheryl Crow songs...hahaha! Will be back in time to do a pre-booked "BarCode" private show on Sept. 27th. Hoping that BC is back playing at a club in October, gonna work on that when I'm back, unless I make a run for the Mexican border that is!.... "Hey, drop the Chalupa"!!!!!

8/15/2003: After a month off, things are looking up for BarCode! I've talked to a couple of clubs and it looks we are gonna be rockin' in the next month or so, barring anything stupid happening that is. In the meantime, friends of mine Playboys of the Western World have just released their debut cd and it ROCKS!! Checkout their site and give it a listen and info on how to get yourself a copy of the disc!!

8/08/2003: Tunes have now been uploaded to the music page..... give em' a listen.

8/06/2003: Sept 5th, 6th, 7th I'll be playing at the Fairview on West Broadway with David Steele.

8/04/2003: Sunday night at the Roxy was a blast...the band was on fire!! It was more like a mini concert ( 5 sets of tunes... it was more like a couple of concerts...lol). Big sound, great light show, and some kick ass rock and roll!! Thanx to Joe, Dave, Larry, Chris and the Roxy staff for making me feel at home. I'm still feeling the effects from the "Wild Turkey" today.... nothing that sushi and a cold one won't cure though.....hahaha!!

7/24/ 2003: Sunday, August 3rd I'll be filling-in for Jamie kaufman with Joe's Garage at the Roxy. Let the party begin!!

7/21/ 2003: Friday was the last Barcode show at the Bar None, what a blast it was! It reminded me of the old days when we started, just a damn good party! There was some good laughs and some wet eyes. Kingster came up and shredded for a set, he was on fire! as well as some friends who came up and jammed. We ended the night with Steve singing "Interstate Love Song" and Jonathan and Fife doing a topless version of "Sin City", that's the shit I want to remember about the Bar None.....fun, partying, Rock and Roll. Nathalie came up and said a few words, you had to be there, I wouldn't do it justice by trying to re-sample it here for you.

A big huge thank you to Steve, Jonathan, Janice, Fife, Rob Fort, Mike Bachinski, Brian Kurlick, Clayton Anderson, Claudine Grant, DJ Power chord, Nic, Paul, Nathalie and Robert, Bruce, Jay (Sire), all the BN staff, the Barcode Gals, and all the old and new friends who've made it a very memorable year and a half! You all RULE!!!

7/17/2003: Looks like Barcodes days at the Bar None are numbered.... Friday, July 18th Is our last night there. It's been over a year and a half since any of us have had the weekend off, so the break is welcomed. It's been fun..... I'll miss it allot!!

7/17/2003: Miles to Midnight is on a bit of a hiatus right now. With the departure of Ed, the search for a suitable guitar player has started.

7/16/2003: The ultra-new version of the site launches today.... Music and Video will follow shortly. This page will be updated frequently with any "Chiko", "Barcode" or "Miles to Midnight" news.
