 was
born in Malawi, Africa; and transplanted to Glasgow, Scotland
at an early age. I spent my early years at St. Patrick's Catholic
School, feeling like an idiot in a uniform that wasn't made
cool by Angus Young yet. My days were taken up by everything
soccer, and trains, but I was still too young to appreciate
the great music there at the time.
My
family moved to Vancouver In 1976 where the rock and roll
bug bit me. Bands like Aerosmith, Deep Purple and Van Halen
totally blew my mind. I knew exactly what I wanted to be
when I grew up..... Steve Tyler! That didn't work out as
well as I thought (stupid kid!). My first year of high
school is when I discovered the drums, and great drummers
like Stewart Copeland, Neil Peart and Tommy Aldridge. The
rest is as they say "History".
Since
then I have worked with many gifted people in the music biz,
including... Bif Naked, Avril Lavigne, George Criston (Kick
Axe, Criston/Harvey), Dave Taylor (Bryan Adams/Miles to Midnight),
Darcy D (Prism), Brian King (Trout), Andy Lorimer (Prism,
Headpins), Richard Sera (The Payola$), David Steele, Dale
Pleven (Skinny Puppy), Howard Rix (The Scramblers).
